Gasant Jacobs, a seasoned business executive, is a South African national who lives and works in the UAE since 2011.
He is an experienced business development executive with more than 20 years’ experience in various senior management roles in the Professional Services. Technology and Outsourcing industries across Africa, the Midlle East and Europe.
Gasant is currently responsible for the Business development Function for MEA (Middle East & Africa) and he joined the TMF-Group from TAXTech Global, an International Tax Practice specialising in Tax Technology, where he served as the Lead Partner. He first came to the Middle East region (Bahrain) in 2008 and in 2011 he moved to the UAE with Ernst & Young (EY) as an Executive Manager. After five years in the Middle East, Gasant moved back to South Africa when he joined Thomson Reuters Tax & Accounting to serve as the Head: Business Development for the Government busines in Sub Sahara Africa.
Gasant started his career on the graduate trainee programme for one of the world’s largest Mining Houses in South Africa and moved on to become a Bid Manager for EDS Africa. He holds a master’s degree in Tax and an MBA in Finance from the University of Pretoria. He is a member of the South African Institute of Taxation and is a Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA).
