Sand Mba Kalu is an International Trade and Investment Expert for the African market with over 15 years of professional experience, working in a complex multicultural environment in International Trade and Investment. He is the current Executive Director at Africa International Trade and Commerce Research, Founder, International Trade and Research Centre (An Independent Not-for-Profit Think-tank), member Board of Directors, SMYLE Africa Trust, Technical committee member, Trade Working Group of National Assembly Business Environment Roundtable (NASSBER), member Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Honourary member of Organisation of Women in International Trade (OWIT), Nigeria, convener, Nigeria International Trade and Investment Conference.
He is currently a PhD Student at the University of Cape Town, South Africa, Nelson Mandela School of Public Goverance and has played a lead role in business development, conference and keynote presentation, consultancy and research.
Sand had previously worked with, Export Connection United Kingdom, Knowledge Edge Education Management UK, Industrial Trust UK, and CRED Foundation UK. He holds a certificate in Trade Negotiations in an Era of Uncertainty from European University Institute, Italy and a Bachelor’s degree in International Trade from the University of Portsmouth, UK and a Masters in International Business Management from the University of Portsmouth, United Kingdom. He also holds a Certificate in Professional Consultancy, Value Management, Certificate in Management Consulting Essential (CMCE), and has attended several professional development courses with International Trade Centre (ITC), World Trade Organisation (WTO), World Bank, and Future Learning, UK. He is a member of several noble professional bodies and an enthusiast of the Formula 1 Motor Sport.
