Yaw Owusu founded Gateway Innovations to develop high impact technology parks in Africa. He led a team of five on (1) designing a future technology hub business model (2) putting together a financial plan and (3) mobilizing capital for the development of Ghana Cyber City, slated to become the first tech park in West Africa.
He delivered the keynote address at the 2nd Tech Demo Africa in Pretoria, South Africa.
Owusu’s media appearance include BBC, Forbes Afrique, TV BRICS (Moscow) and China Global Television Network (CGTN) to discuss the role of digital innovations in developing African economies. Yaw served as business analyst and project manager analyst at General Electric and IBM Global Services in Washington, DC and Goldman Sachs in New York. He completed a one-year post-baccalaureate program in Computer Programming & Software Development at Columbia University. Owusu also studied in the EMBA program at Columbia Business School and majored in Mathematics and Economics at Albright College, Reading, Pennsylvania.
